Welcome to YPG OOTD (outfit of the day), a new series where we feature young professionals with style. Q&A with Jamanda Wolfe
Do you have a dress code for work, official or unofficial? Tell us what it is and what you like or dislike about it!
Our normal day-to-day work attire is business casual with casual Fridays. I love to wear dresses or skirts, so I tend to wear one of those every day. I worked for many years at a place where I had to wear pants every day and I am still rebelling against it!
What are some of your go to outfits for work, YPG events, and on the weekends?
My go-to work outfits are my dresses! I have a black dress/blazer combo that I love and anything with polka dots makes me happy! On the weekends, you will find me in jeans and a comfy sweater or leggings with my Chucks. Yup. I'm pretty basic on the weekends.
What are your favorite brands or stores to shop at? Why?
Locally, I like to browse at Ash & Ash, Threads and Black Market. I also like Target, TJ Maxx and ModCloth.
Where do you get style inspiration?
Joan on Mad Men used to be my style icon and I wanted to dress like her every day. I love that vintage style for an hourglass figure. Nowadays, I pick things up that catch my eye or draw me to them — if they fit and feel good, they go in my cart!
What is your favorite item in your wardrobe?
Whatever is the newest is always my favorite! Like this new dress I got last week. I want to wear it every day because it's new!
What is your fashion philosophy? Are you a rule breaker or follower? Do you keep up with the trends or stick to more classic pieces?
Fashion should be about what you like, what makes you feel good and gives you confidence.
