Quarterly Update from the Chair

The new year allows time for us to stop and reflect on the year behind us and to express gratitude for what we currently have. The new year also offers each of us a fresh start.

I’m incredibly humbled to serve as your Lincoln YPG chairman for the year. In collaboration with the Leadership Council, my goal is to help empower young professionals in Lincoln to create an energetic and dynamic environment of learning, networking, and entrepreneurship.

This is a significant undertaking and I won’t pretend to know all the right answers. As I settle into this new role, my immediate focus is on listening and learning from all of you. I’m open to hearing your thoughts on how we can make Lincoln the best place for young professionals to have fun, thrive, and have a family or community support. Feel free to email me your ideas at jgonzales@huskeralum.org.

I’m doubling down my efforts to hear your feedback and make Lincoln YPG the best it can be for you. I invite you to a new event on Friday, Jan. 24 called Coffee Chat with the Chair, and I hope you’ll attend one (or more) of these monthly events. Free coffee will be provided. There’s no agenda, just an opportunity for conversation and getting to know one another.

I’m excited for 2020 and enthusiastic about meeting you at one of our events in the near future. Thank you for your interest and membership in Lincoln YPG.

Wishing you all the best and every success.
