YP Champion of the Month: Logan Ohs

Tell us about yourself. Where do you work and how long has Lincoln been home?

I am a Lincoln native and have called Lincoln home my entire life, except for a few errant years when I was studying abroad and working in Colorado. I am a Certified Public Accountant with RSM, where I provide audit and advisory services to middle market and high growth companies. Outside of the workplace, I am an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. I also serve on the Board of Directors at Koz International, a non-profit organization that provides education opportunities for children in urban, poor communities in Manila, Philippines. I am also an outdoors enthusiast and enjoy hiking, camping and spending time with my wife and our energetic Labrador Retriever.

How or why did you get involved with Lincoln YPG?

I started attending YPG events in 2016 to expand my professional network beyond my group of coworkers. I stay involved with YPG because they have provided many different avenues for me to have an impact on the City of Lincoln, excel in my career and better myself as a person. Between putting on fun social events like the annual golf tournament, providing a platform where my voice can be heard by city leaders and sprinkling in personal and professional development events, YPG has helped me become a successful young professional.

Why do you love Lincoln? What keeps you here? Why did you move here?

I chose to move back to Lincoln because I knew it was a city that respects young professionals and allows us to make a significant impact on the community.  Over the past decade, community and business leaders in Lincoln have made a cognizant effort to build a city with young professionals in mind. From the redevelopment of the Haymarket and what is now called the Railyard to the establishment of a vibrant startup community, Lincoln has been tailored to help young people and businesses launch for success. Every day, I’m excited to meaningfully contribute to keeping Lincoln a great place for young professionals and growing businesses!
