YP Champion of the Month: Kyle Kielian

Tell us about yourself. Where do you work and how long has Lincoln been home?

I’m married to my beautiful wife, Marissa. We live in northeast Lincoln with our 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, Roo. I work as a financial advisor with Renaissance Financial where I use creative planning tailored to each client to meet their financial needs and goals. I love being able to work with clients who are just starting out all the way to making my retired clients feel secure. Before starting my career, I attended SCC online for my associate’s degree and night classes at Doane’s Lincoln campus for my bachelor’s. I have called Lincoln home my entire life and plan to keep it that way. I love to travel but nothing beats coming back home to Lincoln!

How or why did you get involved with Lincoln YPG?

I chose to get involved with Lincoln YPG to meet other young professionals who are striving to create a better community for our generation and the generations to come. YPG creates an opportunity for me to expand my network through personal and professional relationships that help advance each other’s lives, careers, and our city as a whole. I wanted to be more involved and through the YP Champions program, I’ve been able to contribute directly to the organization that has given me so much. YPG does a great job of hosting events that appeal to a variety of tastes and schedules them to fit our young professionals’ lives. The connections made through YPG have become a family that together makes Lincoln a better place to live.

Why do you love Lincoln? What keeps you here? Why did you move here?

I love Lincoln because of it’s small town feel paired with a lively business and entertainment infrastructure. The people of Lincoln are what achieves this perfect balance. Our people love tradition and doing what’s right but also are not afraid to change to improve and grow our city. Lincoln has always been home and always will be due to the perfect balance of culture that exists here and because of the people that make the city what it is. Lincolnites are a family and together we make Lincoln a great place to live and work.
