To empower young professionals in Lincoln to create an energetic and dynamic environment of learning, networking and entrepreneurship.
Over 200 young professionals attended a luncheon hosted by Lincoln's Young Professionals Group on Nov. 4 with guest Dan Marvin, Project Coordinator for the West Haymarket Arena project. The educational event was held at the Country Club of Lincoln. Marvin provided an overview of the plans for the proposed arena in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket. He discussed information about the project funding, gave insight into the future of the arena, and answered questions from young professionals.
As the plans for the arena begin to spread throughout Lincoln, there has been greater discussion about what the arena plans include. YPG is anticipating support from group members and looks to educate the city about what benefits the arena will bring.
Lincoln's YPG looks forward to supporting the arena proposal in the coming months and working toward a positive vote in May, 2010.
