Joseph Young named July/August's Young Professional of the Month

LINCOLN, NE – The Lincoln Young Professionals Group (YPG) is pleased to announce that Joseph Young has been named Young Professional of the Month for July/August.

Young is a legislative coordinator for the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. He is on the board of directors for Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach and on the board of advisors for Southeast Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center.

He is also a member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce’s Public Policy Steering Committee, and a member of the Lincoln YPG Executive Council. Recently, Young was involved with the successful Lincoln Haymarket Arena initiative, serving on Citizens for the Lincoln Haymarket Arena campaign committee.

The University of Nebraska – Lincoln graduate is married to Michaela Young and has two children, Ky and Finnley.

“It's humbling to be considered the Young Professional of the Month when really, I get more out of the YPG than I put into it, and have fun at the same time,” Young said. “The Political Voice Committee has opened many doors and allowed me to interface with many business and civic leaders in Lincoln. Anyone looking to connect in Lincoln should become active in a committee for the Young Professionals Group.”
