SKILLSCHOOL: SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Event Details: The SkillSchool series is designed to be an in-depth, interactive set of workshops where participants dive into one area of marketing and get an overall understanding of the principles, and learn about and practice specific tactics. Be sure to bring your laptop. The SEO workshop will be led by Matt O'Gorman from Unanimous. He'll provide an overview of what search engine optimization is, how it's changed, what the challenges are, and what a marketer really needs to pay attention to when optimizing digital content. After that, you'll work with Matt on: - Determining your search terms: Find out what tools to use, and more importantly, how to judge whether a search term is a good one. - Writing optimized copy: Gone are the days of keyword stuffing, but it's still important to have a good understanding of how to structure your writing and include your search terms. - Optimizing nonverbal content: Making photos and videos just as visible to search engines. - Metacontent: Learn which pieces of metacontent matter, and what you should do with them.
