Event Details: Lincoln Young Professionals Group and RISE Lincoln are co-hosting guest speaker Elle Luna, a multi-disciplinary artist, author, and designer who previously worked at IDEO and with startups including Uber, Mailbox, and Medium.
Elle will be speaking on the topic of Should and Must, sharing a universal message about the difference between jobs, careers, and callings, and the difference between going to work and becoming one with your work. Who hasn’t asked the question “How can I find and follow my true calling?” “Should” is what we feel we ought to be doing, or what is expected of us. “Must” is the thing we dream of doing, our heart’s desire. Elle’s story of her own personal journey and the development of her ideas will be relevant to any recent graduate, artist, seeker, or career changer.
The event will take place on the 7th floor of the Hudl building at 600 P St. on Tuesday, May 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is sponsored by Nelnet and Hudl. Light appetizers and beverages will be served. The event is free and open to the public, no registration required.
