Day of Caring

Event Details: Day of Caring is a United Way project and lead by Volunteer Partners. It is a day intended to promote community volunteerism along with educating and connecting young professionals with United Way funded agencies to perform group volunteer projects. Agencies request a variety of projects from painting, cleaning, landscaping, special event preparations, reading to children and more. YPG has selected the following opportunities to assist with and we will volunteer in groups of 10-15. Please sign up by Friday, August 29. Thursday, September 4, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse. We will be hosting a youth game night. To register for this volunteer opportunity email Jill Smith. Friday, September 5, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Tabitha. We will deliver meals through their Meals on Wheels program. Please note you will use your own vehicle for this and go in groups of two. To register for this volunteer opportunity email Keith Peterson. Friday, September 5, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Food Bank of Lincoln. We will be sorting food and packaging food bags for the elderly.
